What to Expect at Your Engagement Session

Congratulations on your engagement! This is such an exciting time in your life, and I am so honored to be a part of it. Engagement sessions are one of my favorite things to do because they have the potential to capture you and your partner as you are in this stage of your lives and the memories you share. They are also a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day! Here is a little look at what to expect.

Getting to Know You

These photos should represent YOU! You should have received a questionnaire that just helps me get to know you a little more. I want to know your story, things you like to do together, and any ideas you may have! This will help pick a location and personalize your session to represent you!

Outfits and Styling

Picking an outfit can be hard! But I always recommend wearing something that makes you feel confident and comfortable. Neutral/Earth tones and coordinating colors (not too matchy match) always look great. Depending on your session, you may want to take the time to change! This can be a great way to include a nicer outfit and a more casual one. I would advise avoiding tiny prints/patterns as they can show up oddly in camera and anything with logos. If you have further questions with styling, I am here to help however I can.

Engagement photos are about celebrating your love and having fun! Treat it like a date night, and I will help with prompting and posing along the way. I will guide you through prompts that help you interact in a natural way. My goal is to reflect your relationship from the way you look at each other to laughs and little moments in-between.

After Your Photos

After your session, I’ll carefully select and edit the best images to ensure they’re perfect. You will receive a sneak peek typically within 48 hours because I know how exciting it is to see these moments! Within 2-4 weeks, you will receive your full online gallery that you can download, share, and print! If you are looking for keepsakes or albums, I also offer professional printing options of your photos.
